Continental Disc Corporation Appoints Mike Waters as New CEO

Liberty, Mo., August 6, 2021 – Continental Disc Corporation, LLC (CDC) announced today that Mr. James Michael “Mike” Waters has been appointed new Chief Executive Officer of the company. An experienced business leader, Waters will succeed Benjamin Cox, assuming responsibilities on Monday, July 26, 2021. Benjamin Cox is no longer with the company.

Mike Waters, Chief Executive Officer, Continental Disc Corporation, LLCWith 32 years of extensive experience, Waters brings a wealth of knowledge to help steer CDC in its mission to serve its customers with safety-critical products of the highest quality and performance.

“Mike’s entire career has been spent working in the process control industry,” said Karen Greig, VP of Global Human Resources. “He is a great candidate to direct CDC’s business amid recent change in ownership from Robert Family Holdings, LLC to Tinicum Incorporated.”

While at Phoenix-based Flow Management Devices, Waters led their integration into IDEX Corporation. Prior to IDEX, he served as President & CEO of the SOR Controls Group in Lenexa, Kansas, and led multiple business units as VP / General Manager within Circor Energy. Earlier in his career, Waters spent eleven years as a manufacturers’ rep, ultimately as General Manager of Andon Specialties, leading offices across the Texas and Louisiana Gulf Coast.

Waters holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology / Industrial Distribution from Texas A&M University, an MBA with Finance concentration from the University of St. Thomas in Houston, is a past Chairman of the Board of the Measurement, Control, and Automation Association (MCAA), and is a past member of the Board of the Petroleum Equipment & Services Association (PESA, now the Energy Workforce & Technology Council).
