Continental Disc Corporation is proud to announce its continued participation in the Kansas City Corporate Challenge (KCCC) for the third consecutive year. This annual event, recognized as the largest corporate games in the nation, brings together businesses from across the Kansas City area to compete in a wide range of athletic and recreational activities.
Since its launch in 1980, the Kansas City Corporate Challenge has expanded significantly, growing from just 18 companies to more than 160 organizations and tens of thousands of participants. Employees from diverse industries come together to compete in everything from traditional sports like softball, volleyball, and swimming to more relaxed activities like fishing, darts, and horseshoes. One of the most inclusive events, the non-competitive walk, encourages participants of all fitness levels to get outside and be active.
For Continental Disc Corporation, KCCC is more than just a competition—it’s an opportunity to foster teamwork, strengthen workplace relationships, and promote employee well-being. The challenge encourages an active lifestyle, and many participants find themselves training year-round, making healthier choices, and building lasting connections with colleagues and professionals from other businesses.
Beyond promoting health and camaraderie, the Kansas City Corporate Challenge also has a charitable component. Each year, a portion of company registration fees supports a local nonprofit organization. In 2024, proceeds benefited Cornerstones of Care, a Kansas City-based organization focused on strengthening children and families through community support and education.
The 2025 season will take place from April through June at some of Kansas City’s most notable venues, including Smithville Lake, Kansas Speedway, and Shawnee Mission Park. As Continental Disc Corporation gears up for another exciting year in the challenge, we look forward to engaging in friendly competition, reinforcing our company culture, and making a positive impact on our community.
