Chemical Processing
Our rupture discs are manufactured with chemical processing in mind – corrosion resistance, leak tightness, high accuracy and durability come standard.
Reliable, accurate, easy to install and simple to retrofit into your current piping system – the RCS rupture disc is the clear choice for any gas-only application.
A reverse-acting, cross-scored rupture disc, the RCS provides high performance pressure relief for larger sizes than available with the HPX line.
High precision, optimum flow
We use high-precision manufacturing techniques to create slight indentations on the surface of the RCS dome to ensure it initiates reversal at exactly the specified burst pressure.
In addition, the RCS rupture disc’s cross-scored pattern provides a clean, consistent opening pattern and a non-fragmenting four-petal burst design for optimum flow.
Corrosion protection
Thicker rupture disc materials and optional fluoropolymer liners and coatings (for both vent and process sides) make the RCS highly resistant to corrosion. We also cross-score the vent side of the RCS to prevent process buildup or corrosion along the process side score lines.
Safety ratio
Should your RCS rupture disc be damaged during installation or handling, it will still provide pressure relief at or less than 1.5 times its rated (marked) burst pressure.
The RCS is an ideal choice for primary or secondary system-relief protection and provides an effective means of fugitive emission control when used to isolate a safety relief valve.
Optional features
The RCS is available to be cleaned for oxygen or chlorine service.

Our rupture discs are manufactured with chemical processing in mind – corrosion resistance, leak tightness, high accuracy and durability come standard.
The hydrocarbon industries require cost-effective system protection with a special focus on reducing fugitive emissions. Our catalog of configurations, materials, burst ratings and sizes make our rupture discs the right choice for these operations.
We focus on solutions to meet the stringent requirements of pharmaceutical processing – wherever perfectly hygienic facilities and hermetically sealed antiseptic systems are a must.
