Our rupture discs are manufactured with chemical processing in mind – corrosion resistance, leak tightness, high accuracy and durability come standard.
The STAR X rupture disc has low burst pressures and includes a wide range of construction materials as well as our precision failure-initiating indent to precisely control disc buckling at exact pressures.
The STAR X covers low burst pressure ratings in the TRX line of scored, reverse-acting rupture discs. Learn more about the ULTRX, for high-pressure applications, or the MINTRX, for mid- to low-pressure applications.
In addition, we also offer our HPX rupture discs.
This reverse-acting rupture disc is ideal for primary and secondary system relief protection or, when used to isolate a safety relief valve, provides an effective means of fugitive emission control. Additional system-protection applications include installation in transfer piping, chemical reactors, pressure vessels, storage vessels and heat exchangers.
The STAR X incorporates a handling ring to reduce torque sensitivity. As with all our other reverse-acting rupture discs, every STAR X rupture disc is proof pressure-tested to 90% prior to shipment. The STAR X is compatible with the BDI alarm system.
The STAR X rupture disc features:
Nominal Size Range: 1″ – 6″ (25 mm – 150 mm)
Burst Pressure Range: 13 psig – 140 psig (0,896 barg – 9,65 barg)
Maximum Recommended Operating Ratio: 90% of the rupture disc’s rated (stamped) burst pressure
Seating Configuration: Flat seat
Service: Liquid or Gas
BDI Alarm System Compatible?: Yes
ASME Code Symbol Stamp Available?: Yes

Our rupture discs are manufactured with chemical processing in mind – corrosion resistance, leak tightness, high accuracy and durability come standard.
We understand that product purity and safety are critical in food-related industries, so we provide hygienic and aseptic vessels and piping to assure compliance with FDA and 3A requirements.
The hydrocarbon industries require cost-effective system protection with a special focus on reducing fugitive emissions. Our catalog of configurations, materials, burst ratings and sizes make our rupture discs the right choice for these operations.
We focus on solutions to meet the stringent requirements of pharmaceutical processing – wherever perfectly hygienic facilities and hermetically sealed antiseptic systems are a must.
